UNSOLVED HOMICIDE: Calvin Day

On March 29, 2021, deputies from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting the discovery of skeletal remains in a rural area near Mokelumne Hill, Calaveras County, CA. The remains were later identified as those of Calvin Richard Day. Calvin had been found buried in a shallow grave, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Calvin, a resident of Tracy, California, was last seen on October 3, 2020, in Stockton, California. The next day, October 4, his vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Weston Ranch subdivision of Stockton. Investigators have not yet established a clear connection between Calvin and the area where his body was found.
